about taaron

Born in 1982 in Michigan, Taaron’s interest in art, like many artists, emerged as he was a young boy. By age twelve, Taaron won his first state art competition. From 2000 — 2005 Taaron studied art and design at Pensacola Christian College, in Pensacola, Florida, where he earned both an undergraduate and graduate degree under the teaching of the well known artist/illustrator Brian Jekel, a contemporary master in his own right. Taaron has had two solo art exhibitions in Pensacola with 25 new original works. In 2006, he received an Honorable Mention award and the Jury’s Top 50 award in the Solon International Exhibition of Greenhouse Gallery in San Antonio, Texas. Parsons’ work has appeared on ABC’s Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. His work has also been published in Northlight Books’ Strokes of Genius: The Best of Drawing, available in most major bookstores. In January and February of 2007, Taaron’s work appeared in the Ingram Studio Art Center Gallery of Vanderbilt University as part of the 2007 Spirit of Nashville art collection from Anderson Design Group.

Taaron’s appetite to study the work of such modern masters as John Singer Sargent, Joaquin Sorolla, and Anders Zorn and more contemporary masters such as Richard Schmid, Daniel Gerhartz, and Scott Burdick has influenced his work.

About his work Taaron has said, “My goal as an artist is to bring honor and praise not to myself, but to Jesus Christ, the One who created me and gives me the ability and reason to create. Soli Deo Gloria – to God alone be the glory.”

Taaron currently resides in Gallatin, Tennessee with his beautiful wife Niki, a watercolorist, and his equally beautiful daughter Addison Jane, a future extraordinary artist.
